euromicron’s subsidiary telent GmbH has concluded a managed services agreement with a term of several years with the savings bank Kreissparkasse Miesbach-Tegernsee. Under it, telent will take over the entire radio relay infrastructure and ensure continuous operations, monitoring and maintenance – as well as maximum security and availability within the branch network.
In January 2012, telent GmbH – a euromicron Group company – assumed responsibility for operating and monitoring the radio relay network for data connections in the branch network of the savings bank Kreissparkasse Miesbach-Tegernsee under a managed services agreement. This network is monitored round the clock, 365 days a year, at telent’s Network Management Center (NOC) in Backnang. Any necessary service callouts are controlled or configurations implemented quickly using the network management system from this center.
“The savings bank Kreissparkasse Miesbach-Tegernsee has extremely high requirements for the availability of its data network between head office and its 16 branches. The required high availability can only be achieved by means of genuine media redundancy. Every branch is connected via radio relay and additionally via ISDN lines as a backup,” explains the responsible Senior Account Manager at telent GmbH.
The telent Service Point in Munich ensures compliance with the deadlines stipulated in the Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The high network availability requirements of Kreissparkasse Miesbach-Tegernsee were defined in a managed services agreement with a term running for many years. “So as to respond quickly, our Service Point in Munich takes over all service requests in the pipeline and is soon on the spot if needs be,” adds the telent Senior Account Manager..
“Apart from the high availability, we value quick processes and telent’s commitment to meet our specific individual needs,” says Herbert Schubert, Head of Central Services at Kreissparkasse Miesbach-Tegernsee. “One particular challenge is the location of our network at the heart of the foothills of the Upper Bavarian Alps. The extreme weather conditions on Mount Wendelstein in winter 2011/2012 even meant that the radio relay antennas had to be de-iced by specialist staff from telent to prevent a potential impairment in the performance of the radio links between the branches.”
