New fast.LANE® brand from LWL-Sachsenkabel bundles portfolio for reliable fiber-optic broadcasting solutions
The German Ministry of the Interior needs the support of free enterprise in implementing its “National Strategy for the Protection of Critical Infrastructures” (KRITIS). That is also true in the field of radio and television, where stable, reliable technical infrastructures are vital to ensuring that news of great socio-economic relevance can be broadcast. euromicron’s subsidiary LWL-Sachsenkabel has operated in the field of broadcasting for many years and has repeatedly equipped supra-regional stations, such as Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) or Deutschlandradio (DLR), with high-quality transmission technology. LWL-Sachsenkabel also gave an impressive demonstration of the performance of its broadcasting solutions at the first Formula 1 race in Sochi, Russia.
The related portfolio has now been bundled under a separate brand: fast.LANE® by LWL-Sachsenkabel comprises all products and services relating to the fields of broadcasting and event technology. It systematically addresses the trend in the industry toward use of fiber-optic technology: fast.LANE® means users can implement high-performance fiber-optic broadcasting solutions and so take a crucial step into the future of transmission technology. The brand’s portfolio enables reliable broadcasting infrastructures in compliance with the KRITIS concept to be created.
Under the claim “How to Broadcast”, the fast.LANE® system offers customized fiber-optic solutions for permanent installations in studios and for mobile use outdoors. The fast.LANE® portfolio includes assembled fiber-optic and hybrid cables with ruggedized and standard connectors, refined distribution systems and mobile solutions with cable drums. The components can be freely combined to suit the intended purpose and customer’s wishes. Backed by its 25 years of experience, LWL-Sachsenkabel offers extensive consulting in the planning phase and detailed support in installation and maintenance. In complex large projects where there is a need for sophisticated special solutions, LWL-Sachsenkabel also works together with other companies from the euromicron Group, such as the connector manufacturer euromicron Werkzeuge or the system house euromicron Deutschland. The fast.LANE® portfolio will be officially premiered at ProLight & Sound, German’s most important trade show for event technology, in Frankfurt/Main from April 4 to 7, 2017.
“In order to ensure that the information they offer is available without restriction, broadcasters strive relentlessly to protect themselves against outages,” states Jürgen Hansjosten from euromicron’s Executive Board. “Increasing conversion to all-IP, which will also make radio and TV dependent on the Internet protocol and underlying fiber-optic infrastructures in the future, is a new challenge in this regard. With the fast.LANE® brand portfolio, we offer public and private stations high-quality, customized broadcasting solutions that enable them to establish reliable infrastructures – from the initial planning steps, selection and installation of the components, to technical support during their operation. By supporting the KRITIS strategy in this way, we as a listed company are also living up to our responsibility for society as a whole."
