Focus on software-controlled robot and workplace systems as well as maintenance and use of removable media
The euromicron Group, one of the leading German specialists for the Internet of Things, is presenting solutions for Smart Industry and industrial security geared to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises at the 2019 Hanover Trade Show from April 1 through 5. The breadth of its portfolio is illustrated by the fact that it will have a presence at a total of five different places at the show.
At the VDE stand (Hall 13, Stand C22) in the Industry 4.0 section, euromicron’s subsidiary ELABO will showcase a circulating system that has a robot-based laser application and is controlled by means of the Smart Industry software suite ELABO Elution. At the joint stand of the Industry 4.0 Baden-Württemberg Alliance (Hall 6, Stand C18), visitors can see how this software suite supports collaboration between humans and robots at Smart Industry assembly workplaces. The software services on show will be rounded off by a presentation at the stand of Abas ERP (Hall 7, Stand B40): Workplace systems for assembly and goods dispatching will demonstrate the advantages of Elution-aided processes – from customized workplace settings, software-based worker guidance systems, to automated process documentation.
In the Industrial Security section, the euromicron system house company euromicron Deutschland will present solutions for secure access for the purposes of maintenance at the Cisco (Hall 6, Stand F30). Using Cisco components, it will demonstrate by way of example how extensive customized access rights management can be implemented in industrial OT networks and so external service providers can be granted access to plant and machine control systems without any misgivings about security.

Finally, euromicron’s subsidiary KORAMIS supplies answers to threats arising from removable media, such as USB sticks or external hard drives. At the Saarland’s stand (Hall 5, Stand D36), the IT security specialist will link the subject areas of Smart Industry and IT security and, among other things, present its data lock-keeper InDEx (Intelligent Data Exchange). It enables removable data media to be scanned and, if necessary, cleaned of any viruses and malware before being connected to own or third-party networks. In addition, KORAMIS will provide information about security aspects in the complex interplay between people, organization, processes and technology and highlight the necessary consequences in the security arena.
