euromicron AG: Decline in sales at euromicron Deutschland GmbH requires an adjustment in the forecast for sales and operating EBITDA for fiscal year 2016
euromicron AG is adjusting its previous forecast on sales and its operating EBITDA margin for the current fiscal year 2016.
According to the preliminary results for the first six months, sales amounted to EUR 139.8 million, approximately EUR 17 million lower than last year. Operating EBITDA was EUR -1.7 million and thus around EUR 5.6 million below the comparative figures from the previous year. Despite the expected strong second half of the year, the shortfall of earnings are expected to be reduced, but not completely compensated by the end of the year.
Nevertheless, the numbers are significantly influenced by the fact that euromicron Deutschland GmbH finds itself in an extensive reorganisation. The high heterogeneity within the subsidiary due to the merger of several small companies delays the structural measures more than initially expected. The realignment of euromicron Deutschland GmbH therefore temporarily affects the Group's sales volume and its profitability.
Consequently, the Executive Board has adjusted its forecast for the current fiscal year 2016. The adjusted volume of sales lies within a range of between EUR 330 million and EUR 350 million. The operating EBITDA margin is expected now to range between 2% and 4%. The reorganization measures initiated in the last fiscal year will be partly completed in the current financial year. The resulting costs expected for fiscal year 2016 are now being adjusted to around EUR 3 million to EUR 4 million.
The company will publish the complete report on the second quarter of 2016 on August 9, 2016.
