Thomas Hoffmann is a new member of the euromicron Group’s Executive Board. As the successor to Dr. Edgar Bernardi, who was responsible for products on euromicron AG’s Executive Board for more than eight years, the 49-year-old graduate in industrial engineering will take over his responsibilities on the board, which cover the functional areas of strategic sales and marketing, business development and internationalization, IT, process optimization and areas of communication with the capital markets.
“I look forward to the task ahead of me,” emphasizes Hoffmann on being appointed as a new member of euromicron’s Executive Board. “euromicron’s solution competence in network infrastructure is enormous and I aim to do my bit in expanding it further in Germany and internationally and making the market even more aware of it.” The Chairman of the Executive Board Dr. Willibald Späth and Dr. Edgar Bernardi have forged a powerful group in the past years. “With its own production expertise in active and passive network components, as well as its broad know-how in planning, creating, expanding and maintaining network infrastructures, euromicron offers the market a portfolio that is comparable only to that of global system integrators,” states Hoffmann.
Some of the core challenges for the new board member are to extend the portfolio with applications, for example in the fields of e-health or security, expand cross-selling potential and further internationalize euromicron’s sales. “euromicron’s excellent positioning and market status open up extensive growth potentials, which I aim to leverage together with our highly motivated teams,” says Hoffmann.
Dr. Willibald Späth, Chairman of the Executive Board of euromicron AG, believes that his company is now considerably stronger following this new appointment: “I have great respect for Thomas Hoffmann’s professional and strategic abilities. We have built a trusted working relationship in the past years and that is an excellent foundation on which to build.
Since October 2006, Mr. Hoffmann has been a member of the holding’s management team at euromicron, working in the fields of strategy and integration and as a Managing Director of the associated company SKM Delwave GmbH. He has many years of experience in industry and in consulting. Before joining euromicron, he was a partner at IBM Business Consulting Services, managing optimization and strategy projects at customers from small and medium-sized enterprises and large industry. Mr. Hoffmann began his career in automation technology at Gelma Industrieelektronik GmbH, an associated company of Daimler Benz Aerospace AG, and was in charge of a division at the consulting firm Wassermann Unternehmensberatung AG in his capacity as Vice President.
