euromicron acquired the business operations of telent GmbH Deutschland from Pension Corporation (UK) under an asset deal on June 7, 2011. telent GmbH is a vendor-independent system integrator and technology service provider for communications networks and has a nationwide service team. In the field of system integration, telent GmbH specializes in the technology segments of transmission technology, IP migration, infrastructure, integrated control station technology and professional mobile communications/trunking. It also offers services such as assembly, commissioning and maintenance of technical systems and communications networks.
telent GmbH is headquartered in Backnang. Its origins date back to the company Telefunken in 1907 and its current history began in 1954, since when it has been part of AEG Telefunken, Bosch Telecom and Marconi, before being taken over by euromicron. Employing a workforce of around 400, telent GmbH builds and monitors infrastructure for prestigious European carriers, power utilities, large private enterprises and public authorities from the sectors of transport and security. With its extensive technology know-how and a “24-hour Service Competence Center”, the company supports its customers as a partner for complete system solutions at three branch offices and eleven service locations in Germany. The company, which is established in Germany, cooperates with selected partners such as Ericsson, Keymile, Cisco, Motorola, Ceragon and Nexans to offer customers tailored solutions.
The existing Managing Directors of telent GmbH, Dr. Stefan Kindt, Robert Blum and Hans-Peter Fischer, will continue to run the company. “With our many years of experience, great technical know-how and motivated employees, we look forward to making a major contribution to the further development of the euromicron Group. The profitable company generates sales in the upper single-digit million range. telent GmbH Deutschland will contribute sales of around €90 million and an EBIT of €6 million to euromicron’s consolidated results as of 2012.
