Frankfurt/Main / Munich, March 2011 – The Munich branch office of euromicron solutions GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the euromicron Group, is equipping the operating theater center at the University Clinic of Munich in Großhadern with leading-edge network and security technology.
As an end-to-end provider of network infrastructure and security technology solutions that meet the very highest standards, euromicron’s subsidiary was able to win the contract to play a major part in establishing the largest and most modern operating theater center in Europe. “What ultimately clinched the deal in this complex project was our ability to cater for the full range of tasks relating to network and security issues with top-class services at a competitive price,” explains Matthias Vogel, head of the branch office of euromicron solutions in Munich.
Over the next 2 years, Vogel and his 20-strong team will implement IP-based networking of the operating theater center and install cutting-edge live image, light call and intercom systems and further security applications on this infrastructure – something that requires the very highest network quality.
The clinic at the Ludwig-Maximilians University is a center for top-class medicine, innovation and medical progress. At the same time, very great importance is attached to individual care of patients. The clinic has a prominent status among German university clinics as a result of its huge potential in research, teaching and patient care. To meet this standard, it demanded service providers that fulfilled extensive quality criteria. “That was a challenge for any service provider and one we gladly took up – with success,” sums up Vogel.
The contract from one of the leading university clinics in Europe also confirms the strategy of euromicron’s Executive Board: “Over the past years, we have increasingly leveraged our group-wide competences in the field of IP-based network infrastructures to plan, develop and create solutions and applications on these structures.
