Top manager from mobile communications industry strengthens management team
The euromicron Group is consolidating its position on the wireless communications market by hiring a top-flight manager from the industry who will now take over complete management of the euromicron Group’s mobile communications units, whose expertise is concentrated at the Competence Center Mobile Solutions. Wolfgang Krüger, who boasts many years of experience as Managing Director of SAG Kommunikationstechnik GmbH, head of the Networks Division at O2 and as a branch office manager at E-Plus, will take over management of the Competence Center Mobile Solutions, as well as of Cteam Consulting & Anlagenbau GmbH in Seekirchen, Austria, and Cteam Kommunikationstechnik GmbH in Munich and Stuttgart effective April 1, 2008.
“In Wolfgang Krüger, we have been able to win a highly experienced expert in the field of mobile communications for our management team,” announces Dr. Edgar Bernardi, the member of the Executive Board of euromicron AG in charge of Products, Market, Technology and Operations. He also stressed that “in order to address the beginning of consolidation in the mobile communications market, which is characterized by a shift from pure construction of antenna stations to greater demand for expertise in system engineering, connectivity and expansion of the capacity of mobile communications systems, we have followed up our acquisition of Cteam in Austria and Germany by winning Mr. Krüger, a wireless communications pioneer who will take euromicron forward systematically in the mobile solutions arena and help shape the next phase in the mobile communications sector together with our customers.”
After graduating in electrical engineering from the German Army University in Munich and working as a Technical Officer, Wolfgang Krüger (54) assumed various tasks in wireless system sales at Rohde & Schwarz and Siemens. He was then responsible for regional network expansion and operation in Southern Germany at E-Plus and for access networks and product development at the headquarters of O2. His last post was as Managing Director at SAG Kommunikationstechnik GmbH / KTD aythea GmbH as head of engineering and sales.
“I am looking forward to my new challenge at the euromicron Group, which has evolved into one of the leading solution providers in the telecommunications industry as a result of its rigorous orientation. My aim is to advance its current fine positioning by selectively expanding its expertise in the field of mobile communications. Quality of service, professional processes and great customer proximity and centricity are the key cornerstones to our continued success. In this way, we can make a valuable contribution to satisfying the needs of operators of mobile communications networks,” is how Wolfgang Krüger describes the core elements of his task.
