euromicron took over the business operations of ACE Advanced Communication Engineering GmbH under an asset deal on September 28, 2011. Since 1993, ACE has supplied its customers throughout Germany with know-how, services and products in all areas of data and telecommunications technology from its two locations.
The company has a workforce of 50 and its business activity focuses mainly on active infrastructure (switching, routing and wireless LAN), security (including firewalls, client security, content and antivirus protection), IP telecommunications technology, client/server solutions, virtualization and passive infrastructure for data centers and all types of cabling in buildings. ACE offers its customers highly competent technical support services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, as well as providing equipment around-the-clock.
ACE is headquartered in Pfullingen, Baden-Württemberg. euromicron intends to use it and the branch office in Moers as bases for providing important support for the group’s network activities, initially in Southern Germany, but then successfully in the north as well. Although ACE has provided its services and merchandise to small and medium-sized enterprises largely on a regional basis to date, the company has focused for some time on large, nationwide enterprises and public authorities and on public institutions that use IP-based networks. Its customers are in particular in the fields of mechanical engineering, automotive suppliers, power utilities, in the university and healthcare sector, transportation companies, the public sector and banks and other service providers.
As a result, ACE has a longstanding, broad customer base and a good market position in Baden-Württemberg, which the two Managing Directors of ACE Advanced Communication Engineering, Stefan Franz and Bernd Nonnenmacher, now aim to expand further in conjunction with euromicron’s subsidiaries: “The merger with euromicron gives us additional opportunities for gaining access to customers and it is also a powerful partner with whom we can achieve our further growth objectives,” say the two former shareholders, who will continue to be in charge of their “team ACE”, but will also assume additional tasks at euromicron solutions.

Apart from an increase in quality of service, euromicron will also benefit from additional certification and the technical know-how the employees in the “team ACE” will contribute to the euromicron Group’s network activities. For instance, the company works with selected partners in the field of active network technology, such as Cisco, Citrix and Microsoft, to offer customers tailor-made solutions.
As of 2012, the “team ACE” will contribute sales in the upper single-digit million range to the profitable growth of euromicron’s network activities. The Executive Board and management welcome the members of the “team ACE” warmly to the euromicron Group and wish them every success.
