Focus on Smart Industry concepts from ELABO and euromicron Deutschland
The euromicron Group is presenting its Smart Factory solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises at this year’s Hanover Trade Show (April 25–29). Its appearance will center around Smart Industry from euromicron’s subsidiary ELABO GmbH in Crailsheim. This Model Factory demonstrates the possibilities the Smart Industry concepts offer, specifically in production of a large and diverse range of variants. It comprises workplace systems for research and development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and service and maintenance. These systems are connected with each other in real time by means of the data management software EIM (Elabo Information Management) and exemplify all the stations in digitalized process management. Visitors to the stand can see for themselves how the efficiency of individual process steps can be boosted by Elabo’s solution – from creation of test plans and worker guidance, parameterization of measuring equipment, to DIN EN ISO 9001-compliant conducting and documentation of work operations and measurements. The showcased solutions are for demonstration purposes only and are tailored to the customer’s individual wishes in practical use. The Smart Industry Model Factory presentation is complemented by IT security solutions from the system house company euromicron Deutschland. Among other things, they show how digitized process management can be linked with access control systems and data protection solutions so as to prevent unauthorized access.
The ELABO demonstrators for the new workplace systems in Hanover should also be seen as an integral component of Smart Industry: Their measuring equipment and the connection and operating units are no longer integrated in the table superstructures, but in a housing beneath the table top. That makes space for further instruments on the superstructures. The system’s table top is shaped so that a service trolley can be docked on to it. That means in testing that equipment or components can be conveyed simply to it and operations carried out faster. The demonstrators also have a dimmable table lighting where the color and brightness of the light can be adjusted individually to suit the work processes in question and so ensure additional convenience. It can also be harmonized with the room lighting by means of EIM. A built-in MICROSENS switch controls not only the entire table network of the demonstrators, but also the room and table lighting.
