Software functions and the platform concept are the clincher
BSH Hausgeräte GmbH has awarded a major order to Elabo, a subsidiary of euromicron AG. The manufacturer of intelligent measurement and testing technology, as well as laboratory and assembly systems, is to supply 42 systems for testing cookers and ovens at four of BSH’s production plants. The software’s special functions and the platform concept swayed the decision in favor of Elabo.
Networked and automated processes for testing the safety and functions of cookers and ovens, as well as archiving of the parameters in a central database, programming of the firmware and support of the central database to ensure complete and legally secure documentation of the processes, will be implemented as part of the project for BSH. Elabo offers a one-stop shop for the overall solution, including hardware and software. Moreover, all plants will be identically equipped with an end-to-end software solution on the basis of Elabo’s platform concept.
A special feature is the automatic generation of test sequences by means of direct linking of the ERP system and appropriate logic in the software via IoT (Internet of Things) processes. The functions of the state-of-the-art IoT software platform ELUTION that impressed BSH include in particular the possibility of generating test sequences directly from the bill of material import. That avoid errors in inputting data and that a lot of time involved in creating and maintaining the parameters of thousands of product variants – in a fully automated way at runtime and simultaneously at all national and international locations.

Due to the persuasive services and solutions, we chose Elabo to supply the testing technology as part of expansion of our production sites.”
