euromicron acquires SSM Service Gesellschaft mbH Hamburg

Frankfurt/Main, October 15, 2009 - euromicron AG is acquiring all the shares in SSM Service Gesellschaft mbH Hamburg. SSM Service specializes in the field of voice communication, delivering products and service know-how from NEC Philips. It is the largest service partner in Germany. The acquisition of SSM Service Gesellschaft mbH rounds out euromicron’s portfolio in the field of voice communication and adds a further well-known, competent vendor of telecommunications equipment and systems to reflect the company’s policy.

SSM Service Gesellschaft mbH, which has been established on the market since 2004, offers maintenance and service of telecommunications and voice transmission systems, as well as sales, distribution and installation. SSM Service Gesellschaft mbH Hamburg employs 44 people, two thirds of whom are service technicians and engineers.

The longstanding cooperation with SSM means that the company will be handed over to euromicron in a spirit of trust. The successful founder and owner of the SSM Group, Wolfgang Feldmann, will continue to assist euromicron in future in the areas of market and customers and on questions relating to the company’s development. Ronald Steiniger will also remain Managing Director of SSM Service Gesellschaft mbH in Hamburg.

The profitable company generates sales in the single-digit million range. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. By acquiring SSM Service Gesellschaft mbH, euromicron is expanding its commitment in the Hamburg and Schleswig Holstein region to a total business volume of almost €15 million and will be able to cater for systems and projects, as well as the product and distribution side.
