euromicron acquires Telefonbau Schneider GmbH, Munich
Frankfurt am Main, December 19, 2006 – The euromicron group is strengthening its presence in Southern Germany and Berlin by purchasing Telefonbau Schneider GmbH, Munich and shares of TPB GmbH, Berlin. SKM Spezialkabel München GmbH, a subsidiary of euromicron AG, is acquiring 100% of the shares of Telefonbau Schneider GmbH - headquartered in Munich - and a 51% stake in TPB Telecom Partner GmbH in Berlin. The remaining 49% stake is held by the general manager of TPB GmbH.
Telefonbau Schneider GmbH (www.tbsmuc.de) is a medium-sized company that has been operating in the leading-edge telecommunications market for almost 20 years and employs around 25 people. The company now supports more than 500 customers, including well-known enterprises from a wide range of sectors. TPB Telecom Partner in Berlin GmbH has been represented in the Berlin area for some 16 years and maintains longstanding customer relationships in all matters related to voice and data communications. The company absorbing them, SKM GmbH (www.skm-net.de), is currently a planner and consulting distributor and sells a broad range of products and services connected with communication and data technology, mainly focusing on passive network components; with the acquisition of Telefonbau Schneider, it will expand its range of consulting, services and products to include active network competence in the field of voice and data communications and security networks.
By purchasing Telefonbau Schneider GmbH, SKM GmbH is steering toward annual sales in the double-digit million range. At the same time, the earnings strength of SKM and so the euromicron Group will be boosted.
